Hospital Bag Checklist for Delivery in Pakistan - What to Pack?


In Pakistan, delivery can happen anytime after 32 weeks. At that time family gets panicked. Best is to pack your bag at the start of 7th month.


Here is a complete checklist for both government and private hospitals.


*1. Important Documents (Sabse Zaroori)*

- CNIC of husband and wife (Original)

- B-Form

- All ultrasound reports, blood reports, and your doctor file

- Sehat Insaf Card if you have it

- Some cash


*2. For Mother*

- 2-3 Front-open cotton suits (for easy breastfeeding)

- 1 Warm shawl / Chadar (hospitals are very cold due to AC)

- Maternity pads - at least 10 pieces

- 4 Cotton underwear

- Slippers and socks

- Toothbrush, soap, towel


*3. For Newborn Baby*

- 3-4 Soft cotton suits (0-3 months size)

- 1 Baby blanket and 1 thick blanket

- 10 Newborn diapers and wet wipes

- Baby cap, socks, and mittens (2 pairs)

- 1 Baby towel

- 1 Small feeder (in case needed)


*4. For Family*

- Flask for warm water / Qehwa

- Dates, biscuits, juice box for energy

- Mobile charger


Keep this bag near your door and tell your husband where it is. So even at 2 AM if pain starts, you can go directly.
